Details Itinerary
A member of our team will meet you at your hotel to give you the briefing and all the necessary information regarding your safari to Mikumi National Park and answer all the questions that you might have, then transfer to Zanzibar Port. Departure from Zanzibar ferry terminal at 07h00, arrive in Dar es Salaam at 08h30. Your safari guide will meet you at the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal and after assisting you with loading your luggage to your 4×4 safari jeep, you will start on your way to Mikumi National Park via the Dar es Salaam – Morogoro – Mbeya Highway. The drive from Dar es Salaam is a long drive that takes at least 5 – 6 hours depending on traffic so you will arrive in the early afternoon. As soon as you arrive at the Park’s Gate and after the quick paperwork, you will embark on your first game drives straightaway. With lunch taken at one of the picnic sites or at a Restaurant on the way to Mikumi, you will then spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Mikumi National Park, hoping to see as much as possible in this same afternoon. Mikumi National Park is part of the Mkata Floods plains within the Greater Selous Ecosystem and the park is rich in wildlife and bird life alike. You expect to see baboons, giraffes, lots of impalas, gazelles, buffaloes, lions, elephants ,kudus, and many other large animals. Overnight at Mikumi Camp Bastian.

This morning you will wake up very early in the morning for a short safari game drives, then drive back to Dar es Salaam to drop off at the ferry terminal for your arranged boat to Zanzibar at 16h00. On arrival you will meet your driver and be dropped off at the hotel for overnight.
